Garden City, New York – The Global Foundation for First Responders announces it will be participating in Giving Tuesday, the nationwide movement devoted to giving back on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Supporters of the foundation are encouraged to follow the link CLICK HERE to donate what they can to support the men and woman who keep our communities safe. The donation page is up all year round, if Tuesday is not convenient, the foundation is happy to accept donations throughout the year. “This is our first time participating in Giving Tuesday, we’d really like to have a great show of support. Monies collected go directly into scholarship funds for the families of fallen first responders,” explains William McGuire, Founder and Executive Director of the Foundation.
The donation page accepts credit cards only, however checks can be mailed directly to the Foundation’s headquarters. Each year The Foundation for First Responders holds an annual charity dinner in the late spring and a golf outing in the fall, these events have been instrumental in fundraising efforts. With the addition of Giving Tuesday, the charity is very hopeful more individuals will be provided for in 2018.
The Global Foundation for First Responders raises awareness for the needs of national law enforcement, firefighters’ children’s foundations and other children’s charities so their immediate, and long-term needs, are satisfied.

William McGuire is a native of Long Island and a former Fireman from Mineola. He started the foundation nearly two years ago after witnessing the ever-increasing needs of families of first responders first hand.
