Global Foundation for First Responders Kicks off the Charity Season with Cigar Event June 1 st Event at The Carltun at Eisenhower Park Garden City, New York (May 24, 2017)—Global Foundation for First Responders announces its 2 nd annual Global Smoke Charity Cigar Event will be held on June 1, 2017 at The Carltun at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, NY. The foundation, was founded in 2015 with a mission to support the families of first responders who lost their lives saving others in the line of duty. Monies raised go into scholarship funds and other programs designed to ease the financial burden of surviving family members.

In just two short years, the scholarship established will help send students of fallen heroes to college. “My dream for this foundation has always been to pay back these men and women who have dedicated their lives to helping others and keeping our community and streets safe,” explains William McGuire, President and CEO of the Global Foundation for First Responders. The charity raises funds through different events, fundraisers and sponsored community service. “The focus is to always develop a positive outlook in our local communities and nationwide,” McGuire adds.

The Cigar Charity Event, held at The Carltun at Eisenhower Park, East Meadow, from 7-10 PM, is a fun-filled evening that includes Cigars, Dinner, Raffles, Open Bar, Relaxation Station, Live Entertainment, Casino Tables and Prizes, for $175 per person or a table for $1600. “Our goal is to bring awareness to the needs of first responders and grow our fundraising capabilities to reach more people in need.

People are very generous and we are thankful for those who attend each year. We expect another sold out event this year,” states McGuire. Other events planned this season include the Global Foundation for First Responders Golf Outing scheduled for the fall. The Global Foundation for First Responders raises awareness for the needs of national law enforcement, firefighters’ children’s foundations and other children’s charities so their immediate, and long-term needs, are satisfied.

*Save the Date: Charity Golf Outing on October 12, 2017
